10k to add Galaflex to breast reduction?

I received a quote from my PS to add a galaflex internal meat bra to my reduction. The additional cost was 10K. That seems high considering I’ve seen others in my reduction support group say theirs was an additional 1.5-3k. Is that the average charge for southern CA or is that abnormally high?

I can't comment on what others charge, but in my practice the additional cost is about $3500. This covers the cost of the material, as well as the additional surgical time, anesthesia, and facility. I've been using Galaflex with breast reductions for more than 8 years now and it is well worth the cost.

In easy terms with no posted photos, both are incorrect. The cost for two large sheets of the cellular dermal matrix range from 2500 to 3500 per sheet so the cost of the Surgeon could be as high as $7000 or more plus the time for supplies and anesthesia to include that though 10,000 seems quite high, it depends on what product exactly being used. I charge an additional 5000 but your chat room group is way off those fees sound like from out of country so please be careful and do you really need that additional expense?
