Hand vein removal? Is that a real thing?
Answer: Choosing between different varicose vein and spider vein treatments It’s important to distinguish between varicose veins and spider veins when choosing between laser therapy, sclerotherapy, and vein surgery. With two board certified vein specialists, our center uses a combination of visual examination, functional flow measurements, ultrasound, transillumination, and infrared light to map out vein networks prior to therapy. Lasers can be used to treat deep varicose vein insufficiency, vein perforators, and varicose veins. Sclerotherapy is ideal for spider veins and reticular veins. Whereas surgery is reserved for severely incompetent varicose vein segments. Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Is hand vein removal possible? Hello M. While it is possible to improve the appearance of veins on the hands, it usually does not involve removing them. We use sclerotherapy to close blood vessels that are highly visible and unattractive and dermal filler injections to camouflage them while adding needed volume. With sclerotherapy, it is possible that you would need treatments in the future. To see an example of hand rejuvenation using sclerotherapy and dermal fillers click on the link below.

Answer: Hand veins Good question and veins can be treated any where in the body. Hand vein treatment is purely cosmetic and I recommend a consultation with the specialist to examine the area and see if you are a good candidate.

Answer: Hand vein removal Many people seek consults for hand veins. As we age, the veins in the hand become more prominent and more visible due to the decrease in collagen. We can remove or inject the veins and inject filler around the vein areas to add lost volume and can laser the hands to get rid of any spots on the hands. This is a hand rejuvenation treatment. I do not advocate removing too many veins in the hands as the patient can have swelling and discomfort. However, many people are self conscious of their hands and ask for them to be treated. Fillers need to be repeated and are only a temporary fix.

Answer: Hand Vein Removal I would be careful removing veins from the hand. I would prefer putting more volume in with a fat transfer. Removing a series of veins from the hand could cause your hand to swell.
