No type of liposuction will give you the result you are seeking.  It will be necessary to reduce the volume inside your abdomen first.  For patients who tend to collect fat inside their abdomen first 'apple shape', this can come as unwelcome news.The silver lining is that the intraagdominal fat that will go way with weight loss is exactly the same as the fat that predisposes to diabetes and heart disease.Once the patient has reached a more ideal weight, a combination of a tummy tuck with facial tightening and liposuction usually gives a transformative result.Overly aggressive liposuction alone by any technique will leave your flanks a lumpy, unrepairable mess.

Thank you for your photographs and questions.  I think you would do well with traditional liposuction in and around the lower abdominal region.  This would include the waist, flanks, back and hips and can help remove your diet and exercise resistant fat.  Depending on your skin tone and quality, these areas tend to have skin that retracts extremely well after liposuction.  

Pictures are particularly informing but in general the area sometimes referred to as the flank, waist, or love handle region does especially well with liposuction. The skin adapts nicely to the reduction in volume.

I agreee, traditional liposuction on waist, lower back and abdomen will definitely get you closer to your goal.However, it´s hard to tell by the pictures you posted if the skin will retract nicely without the need for a TT

It's difficult to tell from the photos if liposuction of any type will correct the problem that bothers you. If you have good thick skin elasticity in the area and the area is just fat then Liposuction should definitely address the problem. If there are stretch marks and loose skin, or separation of the underlying muscles that are causing the problem, SmartLipo or any other form of liposuction are unlikely to help. See a board certified plastic with an expertise in body contouring in your area for a detailed consultation. They should be able to answer your concerns more specifically. It's clear that you would do well to lose more weight but the issue of the hour glass shape of your figure depends on how thick your "fat pad" is beneath the skin of that area.  If there is little fat there then your best hope is to strengthen your stomach muscles via exercise and lose weight.  If there is moderately thick padding and you get to a healthy maintainable weight the result from liposuction can be impressive.  Meet with a plastic surgeon and get an opinion before making any decision.  Good luck and be healthy!
