How long should I wait before I go for a second round of lipo in the same areas? (photo)

Question

I'm 6 weeks post op from tt, lipo, and bbl. I had 7 liters of fat removed from my back, stomach, waist, and thighs, but I want more lipo in those same areas. I also want more fat transferred to my butt. I LOVE the work my doctor did, but I have to do a 2nd round because she couldn't remove all the fat in one session. I want to be contoured more, with emphasis on my back and butt. I can see the volume she added to my butt, but I want it wayyy bigger and shaped if possible.

So I strongly recommend waiting until you at back to full activities before undertaking a second round.  You may find yourself pleasantly surprised.  Generally I'd say 6-9 months because you body needs to heal from the first surgery.  Best Wishes!!

The results of liposuction can typically be seen after about 3-4 months once the swelling has gone down. After gluteal fat grafting it's probably best to wait around 4-6 months to determine how much fat has remained before re-grafting again. Your plastic surgeon should be able to give you a timeline that will allow you to safely heal and recover from your first procedure before moving on to the next one. Good Luck!

First you need to be patient, 6 weeks is very little time to see final results.Also remember that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, each time you do a liposuction procedure, scar tissue forms making it more difficult on doing subsequent procedures.I would suggest waiting at least 3 months before considering doing more liposuction.Meanwhile try to improve your eating and exercising habits.

We typically do not perform either further liposuction or revision liposuction within the first six months after the original procedure. While liposuction results are typically final at three months, the tissues need further time to recover before further surgeries are performed. Fat transfer can take much longer before results are final, typically six to nine months. Your results are quite dramatic. Any further liposuction will only lead to small improvements. Sometimes the enemy of good is perfect, and it's better to leave good enough alone. Another option is some weight loss and exercise, which may serve you better than just more surgery.
