Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
The eye area needs significant combinations to get improvement. Lasers like erbium, co2, halo, profractional/contour, or Fraxel can all be used to build collagen long term. Plasma pen is a newer less invasive option but will take many treatments and require proper skincare. Plasma Pen is focused electrical plasma energy to tighten skin, producing small columns of energy just above the skin, allowing the skin to tighten to help improve wrinkles. This area will have 3-5 days of small “dots” that will then scab and peel, then the skin will tighter and brighter after. Numerous treatments are needed over lasers where only one or two give a bigger result, but more downtime. After plasma pen you NEED peels 2 weeks like later Cosmelan, enlighten or aerify, see emeragecosmetics (link). At home derma rolling should be started weekly even after plasma pen or lasers to further increase collagen, see emeragecosmetics AERIFY x anteagemd stem cell ampules. To properly heal you need light Stim red LED, EmerageSkin refit face, refit eye; AnteageMD serum, silagen silicone gel, jan Marini bioshield, EmerageSkin enzymatic polish, and EmerageSkin hyla b and AOX, and Sente dermal repair. Otherwise there is EXTREME risk of pigmentation issues and “dots” in the treatment area. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (AERIFY emerageskin roller with Anteage MD ampules) should be started now regardless for antiaging, sun damage, and wrinkle prevention. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning (if doing lower eyelid surgery) will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP, cosmelan peels, and microneedling RF like Fractora, PiXel8 or morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.
Fractional, ablative laser resurfacing is going to be your most effective option to tighten loose and creepy skin on the upper and lower eyelids.Cameron ChesnutRealSelf Hall of Fame
This is a common question. An upper blepharoplasty would be a minimally invasive approach that would help you achieve the look you desire. It is a quick and easy surgery that many plastic surgeons can do in the office under local anesthesia and for many patients it is the first cosmetic surgery that they will get. Like many cosmetic facial surgeries, most surgeons will tell the patient surgical treatments typically last 7 to 15 years, but some patients may benefit from a touch up every year or two. Some people may never feel the need back for an additional surgery. However, it is not realistic to think that your results will last forever, as you will continue aging and have exposure to the sun. You may also consider non- surgical options such as Botox and laser treatment. Non-surgical options are also beneficial for patients after facial surgery for maintenance. It really depends on what your end goal is asthetically and what you are a good candidate for.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of eyelid lifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.
You are a good candidate for an upper blepharoplasty to address the excess skin overthe eye. An upper blepharoplasty is a procedure that involves removing the excess skinon your upper eyelids which is creating the hooded appearance. The procedure involvesmeasuring the amount of extra skin needed to be excised to ensure symmetry. Thiscould be done in office under local anesthesia, which I’ve done plenty of times where thepatient feels virtually no pain, or you may go under general anesthesia to have theprocedure done. Both provide the same results, the decision is yours as to if you wouldrather be awake or asleep. To treat the bottom eyelid area I would recommend a lower lid skin pinch which justinvolves trimming the extra eyelid skin or a resurfacing laser to tighten the crepey skin inthe undereye region. The decision would be based on a better assessment of the lowereyelid area. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in officeconsultations with board certified experts to discuss your ideal outcome. This way, theycan assess your goals in person and determine the best treatment for you best.Best of luck!Kian Karimi MD, FACS
From the photos, the brows are well-positioned, but there appears to be fairly significant amount of upper eyelid skin redundancy, The Ten Minute Eyelift, which employs light electrocautery to shrink and contract the redundant skin and promote new collagen production, would be a very reasonable, minimally invasive approach to addressing this problem. A couple of microdroplets of Botox are likely to improve the early crow's feet wrinkles to the sides of the eyes. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician, and of course ask to see his/her personal befores and afters before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
For the upper eyelids, a blepharoplasty would give the most reliable and best result. Your lower eyelids might be amenable to noninvasive options such as Morpheus8.
Hello there! Plasma pen could be used around the eye to help reduce the crepiness of the skin. Plasma pen is great for around the eyes because you can treat a larger area of the eyelid than you can with other treatments.
A conservative skin only upper blepharoplasty procedure can accomplish removal of the hooded and excess skin on the upper eyelids creating the tired look. If there is excess skin on the lower lids at rest( not when smiling), then a small pinch of excess skin can be removed at the eyelash line.
Hello Runrun123, along with excellent clinical skin care that includes Retin A, antioxidants, moisturizer and daily sunscreen, BensiPeel chemical peel can address the wrinkling of the thin skin around the eyes and can be performed during an office visit. This peel will reverse the aging changes of the lower eyelid and tighten the redundant skin of the upper eyelid without surgery. This peel can be performed on people as young as there 30's. The longevity is remarkable because of the difference in the cellular response as compared to lasers. BensiPeel can be repeated in the future if needed to keep ahead of aging. Peeling in this manner has shown to result in thicker, tighter and healthier skin. Expect the initial healing phase to be one week followed by 6- 10 weeks of redness fading to pink and then your natural color. The healing skin can easily be covered with makeup. Please let us know if we can be of further help and good luck!
