Hello and thank you for your question. Skin tightening devices can help improve crepey skin on the face and the body. It will depend on the amount of crepey skin and quality, etc. We like treatments such as radiofrequency microneedling, subdermal radiofrequency, and ultrasound skin tightening for this. I would recommend a virtual or in-person consultation and examination with an experienced physician to see if any treatments would be appropriate for you. Hope this helps answer your question!
Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid-based bioremodeling agent that can help to stimulate new, native collagen and elastic fiber synthesis and to stabilize the fat layer of the skin. Injectable skinboosters can help to improve skin quality, hydration and tautness. For optimal results, two to three treatments sessions are typically required. When it comes to skin tightening devices, unfortunately, the science to support their use lags well behind the marketing hype that surrounds them. Make sure to consult a board certified aesthetic physician. Best of luck.
Dear Cal gal,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
EvolveTITE is a non-invasive new skin tightening treatment that remodels the tissue of larger areas, like the abdomen, arms, and legs. This innovative treatment harnesses RF energy to remodel skin and improve its appearance. It tightens the skin, as well as boosts collagen and elastin to encourage smooth and youthful skin.
Without a photo, it is difficult to give you a proper evaluation. However, one of the latest procedures we are offering is Morpheus8. This is a microneedling device that uses radiofrequency energy to help tighten skin. We've seen amazing results with our patients. This treatment is usually given in 3 sessions (each 4-6 weeks apart to allow collagen to form in between). Currently Morpheus8 can be used up to depths of 4 mm in the US. When used at increased depths of 3 or 4 mm, fat loss can occur. However, the adjustable depth of the needles allows for customized treatment plans. Where we do not want fat loss to occur, we would use depths of 1-2 mm. This delivers energy to the appropriate depths to tighten skin, without causing unwanted volume loss. I develop a customized treatment plan for each patient undergoing a Morpheus treatment, including what areas will be treated with what depths and at what energies, thus resulting in an optimal result for that particular patient.
