Would I be best suited for a lower facelift? (Photo)

Hi Bagbegone,Thanks for the question. I do not think that a facelift would adequately address the areas that you highlighted. It would definitely help improve the jowls and lower face, which I think you would like. However, it would not lead to significant change in the area around the mouth. For this area, I would recommend a non-surgical approach with HA fillers. My fillers of choice for this area are Lyft, Restylane, Defyne, and Refyne. I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. After reviewing your pictures I will recommend you  a lower Face and Neck  procedure. That surgery not only will address your concerns but also will improved your neck that the  Platysma bands are  becoming more evident

Thanks for sharing.  You are a good candidate for a lower face and neck lift.  These procedures target the nasolabial fold, jowl, marionette folds and neck.  Though there are some limitations to how much it will lift the fold at the corners of the mouth. Here, some additional filler after surgery may be required for your desired result. A lower facelift can give you a natural result but should not "pull the mouth"  Contact a few experienced board certified surgeon. Best of luck!

This procedure will improve your jowls, tighten your neck and give you a more refined jaw line. Face lifts these days in the right hands can give you a beautiful, natural look with minimal down time. The best fix for a loose lower face is a combination of a Mini Lift with a neck lift and plastysmaplasty. This combination will tighten the neck muscles, remove the fat under your chin, tighten the skin on the neck and jawline, and resolve lower-face sagging and jowls. Surgery is the best solution for sagging; anything else is temporary and ultimately unsatisfactory. I hope this helps.
 

You may need a combination treatment of lower facelift as well as fillers or fat. In some instances, it’s best to stage these procedures and see how you look after one before proceeding with the other. You could start with the least invasive one, the filler.  Lower facelift will treat the jowls, jawline and neck. I invented a minimally invasive facelift. Bruising, pain and recovery are minimal versus traditional techniques (please see the video on our page).This will not treat the fold that run between the side of your mouth and the side of your nose.  A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about how best to proceed. The areas that you have outlined are only moderately improved with a lower face and neck lift. It's important not to stretch this area of the skin too much, otherwise it will not look natural.
