After doing further research, is it possibly that my implant ruptured? There is no pain associated with it, but I do feel as though my one boob just started to go downhill and gets worse everyday. It is much softer than my right one and very droopy. When I jump, it moves like a punching bag whereas my other one is more firm. Is it just sagging from breastfeeding or do you think I have a medical problem? I did have mastitis a few months ago, could this cause a rupture?
Answer: Ruptured implant? It's possible that one implant has ruptured. If you have saline, the breast will gradually get smaller. So waiting is ok, you aren't harmed by the leaking salt water. You said you were breast feeding too. This is a factor. You will need to wait for about 3 months after breast feeding to see the final appearance of your breasts. Breast feeding effects the breast and causes hanging versus effecting the implants. Breast feeding can cause the need to have a lift for droopy tissue. Hopefully this will not be necessary for you. You should also see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible. Hope this helps! Dr Chris Saunders

Answer: Could I have possibly ruptured and implant? If you have noticed a relatively sudden change in breast size or "squishiness", then it is possible that you are dealing with a ruptured saline breast implant. If the breast changes you have experienced have been more gradual in nature, then the changes are most likely related to changes secondary to pregnancy and/or breast-feeding. Mastitis, assuming no one placed a needle into your breast, would not necessarily have caused a rupture. My best advice remains the same as during an earlier post. Best wishes.

Answer: #plasticsurgery #breastimplants #augmentation Thank you for your awesome question! Your bio is very helpful, however without the benefit of knowing your full health history and an in person exam it's impossible to say for certain. I would recommend you have an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon with these credentials: *Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery -- The gold star symbol *A member of the ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons) -- The circle symbol *A member of the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) -- the Queen Nefertitti symbol with a Triangle *On faculty at local plastic surgery teaching program -- in our office we are affiliated with both Duke and UNC schools of plastic surgery. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the best in your journey. My sincere best, Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS

Answer: Breast Feeding and Breast Implants No, I don't think that you ruptured the implant. I reviewed your question earlier and I think most of the issues can be reviewed once you are done breast feeding.

Answer: Implant rupture? Implants from one side to the other can feel differently. If you have saline implants and one is ruptured, that side would look deflated. With silicone it might look a bit different but may not look deflated. You are best to see your surgeon.
