Dear 12345rI suspect you are having nasal obstruction and are having your nasal turbinates reduced by electro-cautery. This will likely lead to improved nasal airway. Unless you have severe obstruction, this should not change your voice. It will not alter the external appearance of your nose or your ability to immediately wear glasses. You will likely have nasal crusting for weeks.
Thanks for your question. Based on what you said here, I imagine you're having your turbinates cauterized. For more on what a turbinate is, you can check out my blog- the link is below. You can expect to be congested for a few days, but otherwise it's not a big deal. I had it done at the same time I had sinus surgery, so I can speak from experience. Your nasal appearance won't change. You can wear your glasses like normal. It will not alter your voice. You can expect to be extra congested for a few days and may experience some bleeding from your nose, but otherwise it's not a big deal. Good luck!
Cauterization to the nose s uisually performed when there is turbinate hypertrophy, or for nosebleeds. It is usually does not change the voice or the shape of the nose and patients can wear the glasses immediately thereafter.

Thanks for your question. After the healing process is completely over and swelling has gone down, your nose will feel just as it did pre-operation. During the recovery process, however, it can feel stiff and sensitive. Overtime these sensations minimize. Please consult a Board Certified Plastic...
