Two weeks is a good amount of time for healing so it's likely that you'll be able to attend. You may not have the stamina for the entire event though.
Yes, you should be able to attendthis event. Keep in mind that you will most likely still be wearing yourcompression garment. I recommend letting your surgeon know about your plans aswell. Best regards.
Hi,My advice would be that it's not realistic to expect to attend the wedding in a meaningful way this close to your surgery. You may be one of the luckier people who bounces back really quickly, but just playing the odds it's more likely you'll drill be feeling tired, you may only just be standing straight, you won't want to dance and you won't want to be faint or unwell (and maybe distract attention from the couple). You could still have a drain in place, or need dressings, and would likely need to wear a corset. Some people get a complication of some form - if that were you it could delay your recovery further. Why not not just go to the wedding, enjoy it, and postpone your surgery for a less pressurised time?Good luck with your choice!
Two weeks is cutting the recovery period somewhat close. You will still be in a compression garment and could possibly have a drainage tube following your tummy tuck. Additionally, your endurance may not have returned to normal. Best of luck to you on your upcoming procedure.
Most likely you should be able to attend with support of an elastic garment. It would depend on the extent of the procedure and your individual healing.I would suggest that your plastic surgeoncertified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who isideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns withthat surgeon in person and follow all of his or her instructions.Robert Singer, M.D., FACSLa Jolla, California
You should check with your doctor about what activity restrictions you will have to protect your repairs. If your are cleared to attend, you will probably need to wear a support garment and might have a drain tube to hide under your clothes, so plan your wardrobe carefully. Also, traveling more than an hour's distance within a month of surgery increases the risk of blood clots, so hopefully it will be near your home.
I think you should probably be able to attend, but you will not feel like being very active or staying very long at the reception.
Thank you for your question. Scopolamine will help with nausea but may dilate your eyes. It should wear off in 24 hrs or so. Best to speak to your physician with any concerns. All the best.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your photos. In your particular situation, it is best to follow up with your surgeon and discuss your concerns. It does not look like an average tummy tuck was performed, so I am not sure how to advise you on your healing. Best of luck. -Dr. Coan
Talk to your plastic surgeon so that he/she can examine and advise you more appropropriately. However, you are still early in your recovery phase and swelling can take several months to truly resolve. It is a common complaint for patients that undergo tummy tucks to feel swollen...
