Filler for unbalanced nose after septoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I had a septoplasty back in November last year. My nose was also broken during surgery. My nose is looking very crooked. It was crooked before slightly, but I feel this is a lot more noticeable. I'm not sure if there is still swelling or not. Can filler help make this more balanced? I am getting married soon and need some advice.

Based on your photo, you appear to have an indentation along the right side wall of your nose. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 nasal injections maybe considered for permanently filling this indentation for a straighter nasal appearance. I hope this helps! However keep in mind that fillers may make your nose look wider. Yes, facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose and bridge. However, surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape.I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your photo. Filler can be used to improve the symmetry of your nose. Keep in mind that fillers can accentuate lines and balance areas of the nose, but because it is adding volume, it may make your nose slightly wider or larger than normal. At the same time, by improving overall proportions it can bring harmony to your facial features. Unfortunately, it seems that your nose is crooked; this complication may occur after septoplasty/rhinoplasty; when caught early, it can be corrected manually (1st two weeks); after that you will have to break your nasal bones and reset it.

you don't have the type of nose that classically does the best with fillers because of the difference in the heights of the  nostril bases, but it would be reasonable to  to try.  In my practice I put a little local anesthesia in the nose to show the intended result and you can decide.
