I'm considering a non surgical treatment for nasal tip dents and to widen by bridge. My question is will this harm the nose structure, or prevent me wearing glasses? Also how do you find a good injector ? I have had two surgeries and do not want a third. I have minor defects showing 4 yrs post op. I'm 38 yrs old.
Answer: Non Surgical Nose Job Will Not Damage Cartilage Hi and thanks for your question. Filler injections into your nose will not harm the cartilage or damage the structure of the nose if the procedure is performed correctly by an experienced injector. In your case particularly, since you have had more than one rhinoplasty, you have to find a physician who has extensive experience with injecting post surgical noses. I see patients like you several times per week and I am very careful to make sure that the injections happen safely. There are several options of fillers. For a temporary effect of about 1 to 1.5 years I like to use Voluma. The result is smooth and natural looking and the filler is reversible with an enzyme injection if you don't like the result (almost never happens). There is a longer lasting filler called Bellafill that I use with patients who have had the temporary procedure. Bellafill lasts for many years and in some patients is actually permanent. Hope that helps!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Non-surgical nose job will not affect the architecture of the nose. Dear Cbus7950 in Ohio, Illinois: If you are considering a non-surgical rhinoplasty, whether temporary or permanent, do not worry with respect to any adverse effect upon the underlying bone or cartilage. The filler is placed between the skin and the bone and cartilage. In that space is where the abnormalities are corrected. You have had a couple of surgeries, so if you do not want to have a third, then you are right in considering a non-surgical revision nose job. Look into the options. Small dents are well concealed by fillers. Do your homework. You want to see a doctor who is very specialized in nasal surgery, has long experience, and lots of results both surgical and non-surgical. Checkout the website. Look at the before and after galleries. Read the reviews. When you go for consultation, be sure to have computer imaging. Best wishes, Robert Kotler, MD, FACS

Answer: Nonsurgical rhinoplsty In general I am not a big fan of injecting stuff into the nose to correct a minor deformity. However, since you have had two previous rhinoplasties a permanent correction with your own (autologous) fat transfer is possible. It would likely require only a few cc's and may be just the answer for you. Commercial injectables are a short term fix, only useful to confirm the result you are looking for before you would get the fat.All the best,Talmage Raine MD
