My general observation over twenty five+ yearsof practice is that for the majority of my patients (it varies from patient topatient) that you will have about 85% of your post-surgical results at 3-4 months and final result at oneyear if you do not gain weight. #liposuction
After Liposuction surgery, 3-9 months you still see progress in the performance of the surgery. After 1 month yiu will still have swellings and it is still early to say something about the final result. You should follow up the progress with your surgeon.
Thank you for your question. You are still relatively early in the post - op recovery period. It may take 3 - 6 months for all of the swelling to subside and see your final result. I recommend close follow up with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns regarding the appearance of your abdomen. Hope this helps.
I suggest speaking with your physician that performed the surgery. Post-op swelling is normal and results will not be completely visible in 1 month, but in my practice doing hi def body shaping with VASER, huge body transformations are noticeable immediately after surgery. If you were seeking these types of results, please see a 4D hi def body contouring expert. Best, Dr. Emer
It's too early to be making a pronouncement about the final result. And all liposuction patients there is some swelling at one month that will continue to resolve over many months.
Congratulations on your procedure and thanksfor sharing your question. I can appreciate your concern.Liposuction swelling will last for several months depending on the technique that was used. Usually by 2-3 months 80% of the swelling should be done. by 6 to 12 months the result will be permanent. Finally, make sure that your doctor isaware of your process. He should be able to guide you best in your care.Wishing you the best in your journey
Your surgeon will be the bestdoctor to advise you about your healing and to answer questions about realisticexpectations and final outcome. It takestime to heal from liposuction and to see final results. One month is not enoughtime to see these final results. In my experience, patients will continue to seeimprovement for up to a year after surgery. It is equally important to engage in a healthy diet and exercise programto see the best results. Be patient and continue to follow up with yoursurgeon.
Liposuction can cause a significant amount of swelling for several weeks to a few months after surgery depending on the technique used, amount removed, and your post-operative course. I would not be concerned at this time. Continue following the post-operative instructions given by your plastic surgeon to optimize your results.
It looks like there is still swelling and edema after your liposuction. It probably will take another few months for you final result. Hang in there.
At three months there still is some swelling and there can be contour irregularities. This convalescence will be extended if the liposuction was assisted by a laser or ultrasound.
Hello and thank you for the great question. In my experience, individuals with all around heavy thighs benefit most from circumferential liposuction to achieve a smooth and natural appearance. However, without seeing your photos it's difficult to judge whether you'd be a candidate for inner t...
Yes, some blood is lost with liposuction but using a tumescent technique minimizes it. The numbers you mentioned don't match typical values. Best person to discuss this with is your plastic surgeon.
Often, during the first week after surgery, people retain a lot of extra water weight. Typically, sometime in the second week, the body starts to mobilize the fluid, and so, there's a lot of urine flow! That's the most likely possibility. If you have fever, or pain when you pee, however, that c...
Dear CanklequeenThank you for your questions! leg/calf/ankle contouring is common. It does involve the use of tumescent fluid and smaller cannulas to provide precise contouring - as compared to regular body contouring. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD
There's no particular contraindication to liposuction. Your surgeon may want to give you a concomitant steroid treatment if this affliction is particularly annoying to you.
