Length of time between rhinoplasty and tummy tuck? I am 41, healthy, fit, non smoker if that matters.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The
best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  If you are in good health, you can safely have rhinoplasty and a tummy tuck performed at the same time.  I perform this combination frequently in my practice.  If you wish to separate them, then waiting 6 weeks should suffice.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

I would think a few weeks...but as has been said you could do them together.  And I would not assume that the nose recovery is easier.  Exparel has significantly improved the tummy recovery.Good luck!

If you want them at two different settings, do the tummy tuck and then the rhinoplasty 6 weeks later.  However, they could be done at the same time by the same doctor, but here's the trick:  REALLY do your research on the surgeon.  Both of these procedures are easy to do...pretty good.  Both require expertise to be done EXCEPTIONALLY.  Focus on a surgeon that just does aesthetic surgery, does a LOT of these procedures, and is board-certified by the AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY.  Good luck...it'll all be worth it!

It would likely be most convenient to have them done together either by the same surgeon or have the two surgeons coordinate. Otherwise, it's best to wait at least 6 weeks between anesthetics. All the best in your journey,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX

Why not just seek out a surgeon who can do both at the same time. It is generally acceptable to have both these procedures done at the same time. Another option is to ask both surgeons you are considering to try to arrange to work together during one anesthetic. I did just the same thing a couple months age and the patient was thrilled. 

Thank you for your question.  There is no patent answer to your question but in general it is wise to separate the procedures based on the length of time of the typical recovery, consideration for additional time off needed from work or family obligations, travel and allowing enough time for to reduce the risk for complications such as DVT (deep venous thrombosis or blood clots) which are associated with some major surgeries.  In general, the order of the procedures your are considering is up to your discretion and I would recommend allowing at least 6 weeks in-between for recovery.  Good luck with your upcoming procedures!
