I understand your concerns. While it might not be common to have side effects of Cellfina last this long, it is not out of the question. The extent and duration of your bruising will depend on how quickly your body heals, medications you might be taking and other factors. I would choose a board-certified dermatologist for your procedure and discuss your concerns at your consultation. While there are no guarantees, your doctor should be able to recommend steps to help minimize bruising after any treatment. Good luck to you!
Bruising and/or swelling can last for several weeks after treatment and will gradually resolve. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments like Exilis Ultra/Venus Legacy, Cellutone/z wave. A VASER HI DEF procedure can be done for more contouring. Cost will vary, but see an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. It has been my experience that patients can have bruising for weeks after treatment but most patients see this resolve within 3 weeks. If you are required to be on blood thinners, bruising may last a while longer. It is important to note that all patients are different so healing time does differ from individual to individual and there are other side effects (pigment changes, inflammation, swelling, etc.) that may occur after treatment. It is best to consult with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon as they will be able to provide guidance. Best Wishes!
As with any procedure, bruising can be different from person to person. Our experience is that most patients have minimal bruising and recover within the first week. The longest time that we have seen for bruising to completely resolve is 10 weeks, however that has been quite rare. Sinecch or Arnica can help to limit bruising
We are approaching our 3rd year anniversary of doing Cellfina procedures. What we have learned with our growing experience is that, although the results can be truly fabulous, some patients will take months to "smooth out". Commonly in the thigh areas there are residual lumps that persist for quite some time in some patients. It has not been possible for us to determine ahed of time who is more likely to have this slow resolution. In a small number of cases we have gone back after 12 months and done micro-suctioning to complete the contouring of those areas. So, to answer your question; yes, you may still have contour irregularities and discoloration after 7 weeks.
It is not uncommon for Cellfina to be administered by trained registered nurses as long as they are under the supervision of a board certified plastic surgeon. Cellfina can effectively treat most areas of the thigh or buttocks. That said perhaps there is another reason your surgeon thinks the ...
It is hard to say without looking at you in person or seeing photos. I would suggest you return to the MD that was involved in the case and ask them. Induration and bruising is very common after Cellfina and will resolve over time. If all of your entry sites are closed and...
It's worth noting that Cellfina is indicated for cellulite dimpling only, and should not be used to address skin laxity, orange peel appearance and focal areas of fat deposits. Cellfina is not a technology used globally over the skin, and your clinician should inform you of the sites best...
