Will Celfina harm fat cells?

Hi doctors, i am really interested in the Celfina procedure but I am afraid because I don't want it to make me lose volume or fat cells in my butt and legs. I just want smoother dimple free skin. Does the procedure also target fat cells or just cellulite ? Or would you recommend another ?Thank you in advance !

Cellfina is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment that 
targets the connective bands that weave through fat found in the areas 
of your thighs and buttocks. The tightening of these bands pull down on 
the skin causing cellulite to appear, the puckering and dimpling effect, when this tension is released, it 
allows the skin to bounce back and smooth out. Cellfina will not harm or affect any fat cells as the Cellfina device is used to cut through the connective bands that weave through the fat, it does not target the fat itself. That said, it's important to keep in mind that Cellfina should always be administered by either a board certified plastic surgeon or a trained registered nurse under the supervision of a board certified plastic surgeon. I highly recommend that you book an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to assess whether this is the right treatment for you and for the results that you are looking to achieve. The dimpling associated with cellulite is caused by fibrous bands of tissue that tug at your skin from below. Cellfina very specifically targets those bands, however, the fat in the area is not affected. Cellfina should be a good option in your case, since you aren’t looking for fat reduction. Thank you for your question, Cellfina target specifically the fibrous septae that hold the skin down and form dimples between your fat cells. This band is cut by a small pin hole scalpel and therefore, the fat cells surrounding it should not be affected.

No, Cellfina won't harm fat cells. A combination approach is needed to get improvement with Cellfina. I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra or renuva, and body treatments like Exilis Ultra/Venus Legacy, Cellutone/z wave. Cellfina specifically targets the bands that pull and result in cellulite dimples. The procedure releases the dimples and does not target the fat cells, so there is NO damage to the existing fat cells. Cellfina is best indicated for women with localized dimples on the buttocks and thighs, and not for women with generalized cellulite.
