2 years ago in April I made the life changing decision to have a prophylactic double mastectomy with direct reconstruction due to being a BRCA1 carrier. With a short delay from Covid, we were ready to do the surgery in April of 2022 just after my 41st Birthday. The appointments leading up to the surgery put me at so much ease and re-affirmed my decision to proceed with this surgery. Dr. Brown and his team, including Dr. Tulin Cil who performed the mastectomy part, were absolutely amazing. They took the time to explain all my options and answered all my questions and concerns with kindness and knowledge. My surgery went off perfectly. The surgical team and the recovery team were outstanding. I was at complete ease. Dr. Brown is magic. He is an outstanding, skilled, compassionate, to the point, top notch plastic surgeon. I had zero complications after my surgery. I am 2 years out and my foobs (fake boobs) look amazing and feel like my old breasts. I have a very physical, demanding job in healthcare and I had no issues resuming my work after I recovered. If anyone is looking for a plastic surgeon Dr. Brown is the doctor to see! Thank you Dr Brown and team for my amazing care and new Foobs!
From the beginning of my interactions with the team; Nov 2023 booking in consult to attending appointments in person to booking surgery and having post op consultations, it was so easy and fully explained step by step what to expect verbally and on paper. The team;front desk, nursing, contracted facility (Cumberland clinic), to Dr Brown himself, everyone was nice and always greeting with welcoming smiles. Very informative and quick to follow up. I felt no disorganization or disconnect from the team. Nurse Melanie was easy to contact for any questions via email or call. With regards to the actual surgery; so smooth. I arrived 7am to Cumberland clinic. Met with MD Brown, anesthesiologist, preop nurse Shirley. On the table and out by 8am. Woke up in the post op room with nurse Tracy 920am. After frequent vital checks. Education once more for post op home care, I was in my car after being escorted by the PCA in a wheelchair to meet my transportation driver by 1120am. Scarring and results were amazing, only required extra strength Tylenol for the 2-2.5 weeks post op. Returned to work after a 1week post op. I may not need to be back in the next 10+ years to do another surgery, but when I do, it will be with this team again!
The most incredibly caring, genuine and knowledgeable team. Dr. Brown's experience and expertise is only overshadowed by his humanity and honest caring approach. I have been delighted at every juncture before, during and after my procedure. I would be pressed to think of anyone else with such attention to detail and such extraordinarily genuine approach.
This is my 3 rd breast augmentation with Dr Brown. He always delivers on his vision. I'm extremely happy with my results and will continue to see him for any future breast surgery. He is the best in country and is the most experienced. Thank you Dr Brown
I had a great experience with Dr. Brown and his support staff. It has been one of the best ones I have had with any doctor. I had surgery about a month ago and though I am still recovering I am very happy with the results so far. Everyone at the office was very supportive and helpful in my recovery process. The staff were always willing to assist me if Dr. Brown was not available. I highly recommend his practice.
It's been over six months after I had my procedure done and I could not be happier with my choice to have Dr. Brown perform my surgery. Apart from the result being beyond my expectations, Dr. Brown and his very well selected team members listened and actually heard me during all my pre and post-op appointments. I felt respected and cared for at every step of this journey. I'd also like to give a special shout-out to nurse Hellen who was absolutely magnificent taking care of me right after my surgery. I don't believe even my mom could have cared more :)
Hey everyone! I have decided to do a review of my experience with a fat transfer. To start here is some background on me: I am young, healthy, and overall pretty small. I was about 120lbs, 5'3, and a large A/small B before the procedure. I also don't have much fat but suffer from stubborn areas like most females do.I have wanted a fat transfer for as long as I can remember (10+ years) but because it is still so new, it is really hard to find a good surgeon. I went for a consult a few years ago with a surgeon in Toronto that does a lot of BBL. I did not have a good experience as they were trying to push me to get a BBL, 360 lipo, and implants... none of which I want. My biggest insecure has been my boob size and I've always wanted fuller breasts. I then found a place in the states and was sold, fast forward to covid hitting and travel restrictions I started looking local again. I then found Dr. Brown. A big part of success in a fat transfer (based on my research), is obtaining expansion before the procedure. Dr. Brown is one of the only places that does this and his whole staff was very helpful in guiding me through expected results, etc. I will update you on my pre-op, op day, and recovery so far in the next few posts!
I am 18 years old and I got my breast augmentation/reduction done over the summer. This was the best decision I have ever made and I couldn't be happier, I am so much more confident and comfortable in my skin now. The procedure was so easy and painless and Dr. Brown is the best of the best! I highly recommend going to Dr. Brown if you are considering this procedure or any cosmetic surgery as I am very confident in him, his skills and his team. Everyone is very professional and make you feel very comfortable, I wasn't even nervous about the surgery!
Dr. Brown did an amazing job, I couldn't be happier with the results! Brown achieved exactly what was discussed during our consultation. Also, my confidence has greatly increased! Definitely recommend!
I had an amazing experience with doctor brown and the entire team that works with him, they all do a great care of their patients, i would definitely recommend him to my friends ! Thanks for everything
Costs will vary from region to region. In our area, costs seem to average approximately $4500 per treatment. Fees may be less for patients that have limited areas to treat.
As with any procedure, bruising can be different from person to person. Our experience is that most patients have minimal bruising and recover within the first week. The longest time that we have seen for bruising to completely resolve is 10 weeks, however that has been quite rare. Sinecch or Arnica can help to limit bruising
Cellfina works to release the bands that cause dimpling of the skin. There are no tightening effects from Cellfina. In fact, if someone is predisposed to loose skin, Cellfina can make that worse. Options for managing loose skin on the buttocks or thighs include surgical options: Buttock lift Thigh lift And non surgical options: Thermage EndyMed Ultherapy
Every tuberous breast can present different issues and challenges. Often there is a need to lift the breast, add volume to the breast and improve the shape and position of the nipple and the areola. The most predictable way to do this is with a breast implant. The shape of your breasts would likely require a lift around the areola for both positioning and for size adjustment. This would likely be necessary even if you were content with the areola size. Would be best for you to meet with a plastic surgeon who has experience in dealing with the various types and shapes of a tuberous breast.
The treatment for significant levels of capsular contracture is usually removal of the implants along with the entire capsule (called a capsulectomy). Often, it is possible to reinsert new implants at the same time. This may depend on a number of factors including the amount of natural breast tissue, the quality of the breast skin, the degree of contracture and your general health. In my experience, it is unusual to have to wait to have the implants reinserted in a second procedure. It would be worthwhile for you to consider a few opinions and I would suggest having a consultation with a plastic surgeon who has experience performing revision breast implant surgery.
