Hi, Easygoing6309Thank you for your question, swelling and bruising is common after lip filler treatment. My recommendation is to ice the area for 5 minutes on and off. You can use topical creams to relieve the bruising, one i like to recommend my patients is the Arnika topical roll on. If in 1-2 weeks the bruising and swelling do not improve I suggest to follow up with your injector to tailor a treatment suited best for you. Good luck!Dr. Deborah Longwill
Swelling an bruises are common 3 day post injection. However because you are having blister or cystic lesion in the the lip, it is better to see you provider who maybe able to do corrective measure right away, which maynot necessarily dissolve the filler (but can also be an option).
Hello!Thank you for our question and for providing pictures. The first week or so after injection, especially with lips, there is significant swelling and a few lumps from the product. I would wait at least 1-2 weeks and then return to your provider for an assessment. If there is still a lump present it is probably product and can be reversed with hyaluronidase.Best of Luck!

Thanks for the question. It is safe to take a medication to help you sleep after your lip filler treatment. Since the discomfort is likely due to swelling you are experiencing, you can also apply ice or cold compresses to the area to relieve the pain. I also tell my patients to sleep with their...
I understand your concern, but rest assured it is unlikely your alcohol consumption will have an effect on the longevity of your dermal filler. Alcohol immediately following your treatment may increase your bruising risk but at this point, I would not expect it to be a problem. I...
