Cruise before Rhinoplasty?

Question

I was scheduled to get my Rhinoplasty 2 days after I return from a cruise. Everything I am seeing is saying that you need to obstain from alcohol 2 weeks prior to the surgery. Is this correct? My cruise is a NYE cruise in the carribean. Are there any other precautions I need to take. I plan to stay hydrated, get my vaccines updated before I go and take vitamin C daily. This ship doesnt have a buffet.

Hello and thank you for your question. That should not be an issue.  But you should contact your surgeon as well.   Alcohol in moderation is okay for my patients.

It is certainly acceptable undergo a cruise first and then a rhinoplasty a few days after you return. Alcohol in moderation should not be any issue whatsoever, so enjoy your cruise. More important to make sure that you're not taking any blood thinners like aspirin or ibuprofen. Rhinoplasty is the most difficult operation to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so make sure you're seeing a rhinoplasty specialist. Study your prospective surgeon's before and after rhinoplasty photo gallery, which should be extensive with natural results.
