2.5 years post Rhinoplasty. Subcutaneous scar tissue requiring steroid injections since 1 year. Should I opt for co2 lasers?

I would refrain from steroids after 1 or 2 treatments as this can irreversibly damage the cartilage and then the issue will be harder to treat.  CO2 laser is generally useful for skin resurfacing but will not affect the cartilage framework.  If your concern is the shape or contour of the tip, then a revision rhinoplasty to correct the shape of the cartilages would be recommended.  If your concern is skin related, i.e., skin pigmentation or a visible scar, then maybe CO2 resurfacing is enough.  

sirius25- steroids are certainly a mainstay for some surgeons (my self included) to address unwanted postoperative edema and underlying scar formation.  However, repeated injections will begin to have less and less return on investment with greater risk of unwanted side effects.  These include thinning of the skin and altered pigmentation.  CO2 lasers are typically used for resurfacing and addressing deep scar tissue may be less realistic with this modality.  If ever in doubt, get a second opinion though an in-person consultation and always discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Non surgical trimmest especially CO2 last will not improve you issues on the nasal tip. Recommend re tip pasty...

Laser debuking of nose is possible but you must bear in minde that depends how much of the skin thickness is laserd it my heal with scaring ! So you can trade one problem with a different one!BWj TaheryENt/Facial Pladtic SurgeonChester,uK
