It is not abnormal to experience some hard swelling after aCoolsculpting treatment. It can take a few months to see the final result aftera Coolsculpting treatment. The swelling should subside in the next couple weeksand your results should be visible within the next couple of months. If you arestill feeling concerned about your result, I recommend reaching out to yourprovider. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your CoolSculpting treatment! The firmness that you are experiencing is due to the swelling in your treatment area which is very normal after a CoolSculpting procedure. After 8 years of performing CoolSculpting here at CapizziMD, our CoolSculpting patients have reported that any swelling/firmness in the treatment area resolves itself within the first 2-4 weeks. With that being said, every patient’s recovery is different so be patient with your body’s healing process. If you have any further questions regarding your CoolSculpting recovery, I suggest reaching out to your CoolSculpting specialist and scheduling a follow-up appointment. Best of luck!
Thank you for the question. It is difficult to answer your question without examining you however it is not unusual to have firmness after Coolsculpting. Massage or lymphatic drainage may help Good luck.
This can be typical. It can take 3-6 months for final results. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. Keep in mind, for best results, a combination approach is needed and some people need more than one treatment with Coolsculpting. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Swelling in the areas treated following the Coolsculpting treatment is common. This side effect make last up to 3-4 weeks but should be gradually returning to normal with every passing day. If you have any bruising in those areas, the swelling may persist a bit longer. These are all within the normal range of known side effects for Coolsculpting.
Don’t worry, this is a normal reaction following CoolSculpting and means that the treatment is working. The “firmness” is a result of swelling and should settle down in a few weeks as the fat cells are dispelled from your body. Massaging the treated area is helpful following CoolSculpting and will aid in a faster recovery. Normal side effects include redness, swelling, bruising and soreness. If you are still concerned, schedule a follow up with your provider.
Thank you for your question. Yes, this can be typical after a Coolsculpting treatment and is most likely swelling. While there is no down-time with Coolsculpting, some patients do experience swelling for a few weeks following treatment, which will gradually resolves. All the best, Dr. Aggarwal
The firmness that you are noticing is very normal following a CoolSculpting treatment. This is due to the swelling and inflammation created by the treatment, so this is actually a good sign that you had an adequate treatment. Most patients will find that the swelling will improve after a few weeks but this could last a little longer. Be patient and I expect that the firm feeling will be gone in another month. Then you can look forward to seeing your early results with final results at the 4 month point! Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd
A: Great question! As with any procedure, the timing of results can vary from patient to patient. Each body is different, and will metabolize the frozen fat cells at a different rate. Results also depend on how many cycles you receive to the area. At Capizzi, M.D, we utilize the stacking method...
After a CoolSculpting treatment, chilled fat cells undergo apoptosis, or cell death. This triggers the body’s lymphatic system to naturally collect and process the destroyed fat cells out of the body as waste.
Hi there, thank you for your question and photo. While it appears that you could be a great candidate for CoolSculpting, the best way to find out for sure would be to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced CoolSculpting provider. Typically, the best candidates are already close...
