Should I have already been seeing results from CoolSculpting 9 weeks post procedure?

A: Great question! As with any procedure, the timing of results can vary from patient to patient. Each body is different, and will metabolize the frozen fat cells at a different rate. Results also depend on how many cycles you receive to the area. At Capizzi, M.D, we utilize the stacking method which includes treating the area with two cycles. This improves results and decreases treatment time. Since coolsculpting gradually eliminates the fat, it is beneficial to compare your before and after photographs at your follow up visit in order to get an accurate visual of your progress. If you are still underwhelmed with your results at that time, I recommend consulting with your provider about an additional treatment of coolsculpting to obtain your desired look. Best of luck!

It can take up to 12 weeks to see the effects from a CoolSculpting treatment.  Some patients may begin to see some improvement sooner, but some may not.  Some patients may also need more than one treatment session to obtain their desired results.  

results should be seen in 4-8 weeks after treatment , most people need a combination of treatments to see more of an outcome (ie adding vaquish) or a series of treatments to see more results.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello, Thank you for your question. Some people see results late, and you do still have another month or two before full results are achieved. Sometimes the results are a bit difficult to see with the naked eye. You can go back to your provider and have them take some after pictures and you should be able to see a difference. You may also need more than one session. Good luck and congratulations on your treatment. 

Though some people may start to see results from Coolsculpting in 3-4 weeks, it can take up to 3 months to see full results. I would still give it more time. Some people will need more than 1 round of treatment for noticeable results. Make sure you follow up with your treating provider to compare your before and after pictures as you may notice a difference once the pictures are compared. I would follow up with your CoolSculpting specialist at 3-4 months to take after photos to compare. Then you can be re-evaluated and see if you can benefit from more CoolSculpting. 

Results vary as well as time frames. Some people see results right away, within 3-4 wks, sometimes it takes longer, sometimes results are not very prominent at all. We usually say, that you need to allow around 3 mo to reassess. Hope this helps
