Does the scalp smooth out over time?
Answer: Graft sites Thank you for your question. At 3 1/2 weeks, the graft sites should be pretty well healed. I think that a visit to your doctor to have the area checked out is warranted. It may be nothing, but better safe than sorry.Good luck and have a great day!

Answer: Dimples It's hard to say for sure without seeing at least a photo. Usually, one sees the follicle or scab for a couple of weeks. In almost all cases, the skin flattens out over time. Please run your concerns by your doctor.

Answer: Healing at 3.5 weeks after surgery Thank you for your questions. Generally by the 3+ week mark, the grafts are healed and the scabs have completely or nearly completely fallen off. There is typically a little bit of swelling that pushes the skin up around the graft and can make it look a little dimpled if you look very closely. The hairs will have gone into a resting phase and are not growing. They will often start to shed as you get to the one month mark, making it look more sparse than what the final result will show. Of course, if you have concerns it is always safe and best to see your surgeon.

Answer: Dimpling after hair transplant It is not uncommon to have some graft dimpling 3 weeks after hair transplantation. You likely have some residual swelling causing thickening of the skin around the grafted follicles, which retract in relation to the thickened skin. The local swelling can also separate the grafts in relation to each other, making it look plug-like. I would follow up with your physician and monitor at this time. It may take another 4 weeks to resolve.
