Had an Ett with lipo to abdomen waist and back. fat transfer to hips. Wonderong if dog ear removal will be enough or is lower body lift really needed. Also considering 2nd round bbl to fix shelf and get better shape. Or will lower body lift do that? Ugh so frustrsting
Answer: Lower body lift not needed. The dog ears on your sides are very small and I would think a small surgical revision of those would correct those. Additional liposuction could improve your waist as well as serve as a source of fat for revising your BBL. I don’t believe extending your incision all the way around your body would benefit you. Your overall shape looks excellent. Best wishes.

Answer: Lower Body Lift vs. BBL: Choosing the Right Procedure Hello mrs.davis19. Thank you for your question regarding whether a lower body lift or a second round of BBL is necessary. Thank you for your history and your pictures. The next round of surgery really depends on what you want to achieve. If your goal is to have a smaller buttock with less cellulite, fewer wrinkles, and a more defined hourglass shape, I would suggest considering a 360 circumferential lower body lift, specifically the back half of a lower body lift, known as a posterior buttock lift or a back 180. This procedure involves an incision from the top of your buttock crease to your existing extended tummy tuck incision. Most plastic surgeons would agree that the front side of your lower body lift (specifically the tummy tuck) does not need to be revised. Alternatively, if you prefer a larger buttock, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or fat transfer would be the better option. It’s important to note that a lower body lift will not increase the size of your buttocks. The choice between these surgeries largely depends on the body shape you desire. Whether you choose to undergo a revision BBL or a circumferential lower body lift (posterior body lift), the dog ears can be addressed and revised during the procedure. Good luck, and I hope this helps clarify your options! Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS

Answer: Body lift Dear mrs.davis19, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you won't need body lift. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is lower body lift needed? From the photos it appears you would have nice correction with revision for the dog ears and liposuction to further sculpt your curves. It doesn't appear a full body lift is needed. You can also consider adding Aveli to address the cellulite.

Answer: 'pseudo lower body lift" Just correction of the dog ears would likely extend your incision another few inches, making it very close to a skin roll at the top of your buttocks where your liposuction incisions are (what you call a shelf). Extending it to the midline would take care of both the dog ears and that shelf, making a complete 360 degree incision without actually performing a true buttock/lateral thigh lift (LBL, or lower body lift). I don't feel you need a true LBL because you don't have true descent of buttock and thigh soft tissue off of their respective deeper structures. This would obviate the need for a second bbl if that shelf was the only reason for considering it. BTW, if that sounds good to you, I would perform some liposuction in that waist and hip area (hipwhere the dog ear and buttock shelf are). This would enhance the shape of your buttocks and narrow your waist in addition to the planned skin excision. You look fabulous, you are almost there!
