Feeling my dental implant screw?

Question

I recently have gotten a dental implant after the previous failure back in January. I am 23 and was born without the permanent tooth. I am missing #7. I got the second implant 2 weeks ago and now that the swelling has gone down I am worried. If I run my tongue or finger across my gums I feel the screw I am assuming? I asked my doc and he said its my nose bone turning up. It wasn't there before the implant so I can only assume it's the screw. Will if fail again because of this?

My suggestion would be to get a second opinion and to have a dental CT scan done. The concern here is that the bone might be very thin, especially since you had a previous failure in this site.

first of all, do not touch and feel with your tongue again and again. if u feel such contact yr implant dentist and ask about your concern. best option to know  correct implant position is CBCT.

Hello,  I would advise getting a second opinion and getting a CBCT scan to see exactly where the implant is in regards to the bone.  Was the surgery planned and placed using 3d guided technology?  You already had 1 implant fail, the bone may be fragile there.  Best of Luck!
