I could not recommend this procedure and Dr. Faktor / his office more highly!! For my entire life, I have smiled with my mouth closed and I hated my gummy smile. I didn’t know there was a way to fix this until I came across RealSelf, and then Dr. Faktor. I have never had such an amazing dental experience. Usually I delay even routine cleanings out of anxiety because of the discomfort and pain. But from the moment I stepped in for my consultation, Dr. Faktor put me at ease. He has an A+ bedside manner and was able to understand exactly what I was looking to fix. He even created a fake tooth for me that day so that I could see what the results would look like, which was so cool! I went for the procedure expecting the worst, but I was shocked — it was not painful at all! Any time I so much as gave a small wince, Dr. Faktor would check in on me and give more novocaine. He told me to expect some slight pain and discomfort after the surgery but still … nothing. I felt totally fine, was able to eat regular food (except for hard foods) and my recovery was easy peasy. I didn’t even have to take a day off from working out, and I hosted a small party at my apartment (unrelated — not for the teeth!) that night. Dr. Faktor followed up with me over text that weekend and even through the December holidays, which I was very impressed by. His office was also extremely nice and sent regular appointment reminders via text and email. I couldn’t be more pleased!!
Dr Derek Faktor is simply amazing! He did my smile makeover (10 veneers/crowns) several months ago and I can not stop smiling ever since. My teeth look beautiful, the process went smoothly without any problems. It wasn't an easy decision for me to do such a major work, but Dr Faktor was patient explaining everything to me and very attentive to my concerns. He made me feel very comfortable and I am so happy I found him and let him do the work. I am very happy with the results! I highly recommend this doctor, look no more!
Yesterday I had my third tooth implant by Dr. Derek Fakor. The first two, he pulled both teeth, did a bone graft on both and did put in the implants. After the Novocain wore off, I thought I would be in a lot of pain. I wasn't! NO PAIN!! Dr. Derek is a painless dentist. He has a very gentle touch. The implant I had done yesterday, was also painless. I would recommend Dr. Derek Faktor to anyone.
Before seeing Dr. Derek Faktor I had been in pain for quite a while with my #4 tooth. Unfortunately after years of bad treatment I finally found Dr. Derek. Not only did he ease my mind about the process, but he eased my pain instantly. From start to finish every detail was explained to me in detail and the process was pain free. After a few months of treatment I had a beautiful new implant that looks extremely natural. I have been pain free for over 8 months and I will never see another dentist again.
Dr. Faktor and his team did such a phenomenal job with my dental crown. Throughout the whole process I was given the utmost care and felt completely at ease knowing the wealth of skill and professionalism that Dr. Faktor and his team provides. The crown itself was an absolute match and I couldn't be happier with the result.
You are correct about having an overbite however this would not prevent you from having veneers done. Your basic tooth alignment seemsto be ideal so the amount of tooth re-shaping in preparation for veneers would be minimal at most. Altering your gum line with a laser can be done simultaneouslyas the veneers. This would give you a more radiant and fuller smile.
I would most likely replace the damaged tooth with an implant. The x-ray you posted seems to be off angle so its difficult to see how much room you have but i suspect there is sufficient roomto place one. The financial upside of going to another country for treatment may be worth the risk. I cannot tell you how to spend your money. I can only offer you my best opinion with the information you provided. Lastly it seems that you have enough bone to support an implant at the time the tooth is removed which can save you an extra visit and anothersurgery.
its unfortunate that braces were not an option for you. at this pointif it really is an eye sore or you do not see yourself doing braces down the roadthen you certainly have the option of removing the tooth. It appears as ifthere is minimal space available to bring the tooth down, so it would require pretty extensive tooth movement in all directions. you always have the optionof putting in an implant later on.
Your tooth that is chipped appears to be connected to teeth on either side of it.If this is the case you can have your dentist attempt to overlay a ceramic veneerover the tooth. this will spare you from having to replace the entire bridge.if the tooth is not connected and stands on its own then i would just simplyremove the broken crown and replace it with a new one. I would also have your bite evaluated to see why you are breaking the porcelain.
there are different ways to correct your gummy smile. you can slightly shorten your teeth while simultaneously elevating the gum line with a lazer. In addition to thisveneers can be applied to change the color and smile profile. A little goes a long way. These are permanent changes so if you are adverse to making permanent changestry using botox above your lip.
