Is it possible to close very small piercing holes?

It is possible to close small piercing holes, however an in-person examination would be recommended to make sure that you’ll be able to achieve your goals. The procedure is typically done under local anesthesia. The resulting scar tends to be barely visible, although this depends on your recovery and if you have a history of irregular scarring. 

More or less you would be talking about taking three smaller holes and making them one larger hole. This would likely leave a larger scar than you currently have. However, it is possible to re-pierce the ears after this repair. The cost is unlikely to be excessive and should be less than $1000/ear depending on your area of the country.

Closing standard earlobe piercing holes (18-20g) and then eventually re-piercing them is a common procedure, and the scars left from the closure should not be more noticeable than the original piercing holes. Plastic surgeons and dermatologists often perform this type of procedure, which is known as "piercing hole closure" or "piercing hole revision."
The process generally involves carefully removing the existing piercing holes and suturing the incisions. The surgeon's goal is to create as inconspicuous scars as possible. In most cases, the resulting scars should blend in with the surrounding tissue and be less noticeable than the old, uneven, or too-close-together piercing holes.
The final appearance of the scars will depend on various factors, including your skin type, the surgeon's skill, and the aftercare you follow. In some instances, the scars may fade and become barely noticeable over time.

Earlobe surgery is composed of several techniques that can either repair torn earlobes (split earlobes) or correct overly redundant earlobe tissue from piercings or genetics or stretching. Our HIDEF earlobe repair includes a recontouring of the earlobe contour using multilayered sutures to reapproximate the curvature of the earlobe; while simultaneously restoring contour to the ear. In patients with pixie ears after facelift surgery, an alternate technique is used to reduce the dependance of the earlobe on the facelift flap. Facelift surgery can reshape the earlobe and this requires restoration. Sutures are usually taken out within 10 days and the wound is repierced in 4-6 weeks thereafter. Keloid scars must be addressed in patients with known history for scarring.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to close piercing holes under local anesthesia. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Closing piercing holes on the earlobes is a very common procedure.  It is relatively simple procedure that can be done in the office.  I normally recommend waiting about 2 months after the holes are closed before I re-pierce them.  

It is not only possible, but it is very common. The resulting scars tend to be very minor and most people are extremely pleased they were able to "start over" with less, or better cosmetic piercings.

The best way to revise these is to excise all 3 holes together and close the resultant larger area. I have done this multiple times and the scar has always been excellent. You will need to wait about 3 months after the repair to have the area repierced.
