How much will an earlobe reduction cost me in New Jersey?

Hi, I am looking for information regarding a price range and possible consultation for an earlobe reduction. This is not because of ear gauges or torn earring holes, I would just like to get an edge excision to where the earlobe is shaped to my liking. I am hoping that someone is able to provide me with a price range in the (Northern) New Jersey area. Thank you!

Hello. You can have your earlobes repaired. Most surgeons do this procedure in the office. The cost is approximately $500 to $100 per ear. This procedure can fix a split lobe or stretched and enlarged piercing holes or elongated earlobes. After you are fully healed from the procedure you can have your earlobes re-pierced.

Earlobe repair is a common procedure in our plastic surgery office. I employ a technique that involves removing the excess scar tissue and reapproximating the tissue planes in multiple layers to recontour the earlobe after gauges, torn earlobes, or stretched out earlobes. Sometimes, the same procedure is used to restore contour to a pixie ear after facelift surgery or facial surgery. Gauge correction is a popular treatment. Insurance typically does not cover the procedure in California, but it all depends on your insurance policy. Costs are typically between six hundred dollars and one thousand dollars depending on the complexity of the repair. Pixie ear repair involves correction of the facelift flap and is a more complex procedure that requires anesthesia. Aftercare for earlobe repair involves proper wound care, Plato’s Scar Serum at least twice daily, with repiercing of the earlobe if requested, in 6 weeks. It is best to have a plastic surgeon perform the procedure and help with scars in the post-procedure period. Plato’s Scar Serum, wound care, and Neosporin are used.

Earlobe reduction takes about thirty minutes under local anesthesia. I perform this procedure commonly in women during a facelift if needed. You’ll need to do some calling around to figure out who in your area does these commonly and for pricing.   I typically would charge about $1500. I think that would be reasonable pricing .

This is difficult for me to answer since you have not posted any photos and I don't know exactly what you want.  I perform quite a bit of earlobe surgery and do this many different ways depending on what the issue is.  You are best to come in for a consultation.  Most earlobe procedures can be performed in office under local anesthesia which saves you on both the hospital facility cost and the anesthesia cost.
