Is my blood pressure too high for a face/neck lift?

Question

My blood pressure used to be VERY high. I was on losartan, HCTZ and propranolol. Since losing 60 pounds I now only take Propranolol as my bp was going too low and the other two meds also caused AKI (my kidneys are functioning normal now). But my blood pressure on just the propranolol will be like 144/92 first reading at the doctor, then second reading when I start calming down will be about 135/85. Are these readings too high for surgery?(face/neck lift and at a later date tuck)

Having stable blood pressure of 130 and bellow, is most important factor to consider before face and neck surgery. That is something that you have to do with help of your internist (cardiologist) and plastic surgeon. Intraoperative and postoperative bleeding is most frequent and unwanted complication in this  fine, detail dependent surgery. Good luck, you are almost there.

Your readings do not necessarily preclude surgery. It’s best to continue working with your doctor to control your blood pressure. He might want to add back one other medication, but otherwise your second reading is almost in acceptable range. You’re getting there…keep working with your doctor.

Yes indeed, those numbers are still too high and  you're putting yourself at significant risk for a hematoma after a face and neck lift. Is very important get your blood pressure under control before undergoing elective cosmetic surgery
