One of my eyebrows is quite a bit higher than the other and that same eyelid seems heavier than the other. How can I treat this? Also, I'm considering Botox in my forehead to treat fine lines. Is this a bad idea?
Answer: This is a compensatory eyebrow elevation. This is not "normal" asymmetry. There is a reason why you are compensating on this side. Generally it is an early levator tendon disinsertion. These disinsertions lead to upper eyelid ptosis. The brain compensates for this to varying degrees. A detailed personal consultation and examination usually will get to the bottom of the problem. Options for repair very much depend on what we find at that visit. What I don't recommend is going to some bozo for botox to drop the eyebrow. There is a reason why your brain is making this compensation. Having a botox service that knocks out the compensation without getting to the bottom of why you are doing it is a formula for unhappiness.

Answer: Asymmetry Botox is frequently used to improve brow asymmetry. I recommend visiting with an experienced injector and discussing your treatment goals. It can take up to two weeks to see the full results from your Botox treatment and you can expect it to last about 3 months.

Answer: Eyebrow asymmetry Thanks for submitting the photo. It appears that the Lt eyebrow is higher than the right. Depending on what you like better and what else is going on, you can use Botox to raisr the Rt eyebrow or use Botox to lower the Lt eyebrow. If you decide to try Botox, I would recommend that you see an experienced cosmetic surgeon to get the best results.

Answer: One eyebrow higher than the other It looks like you raise the one eyebrow, causing the brow to be higher and that eyelid to have more lid show. You can treat your forehead lines with Botox, making sure that the part of the muscle you are using to lift that side is treated so the brows and the eyelids appear more symmetric.
