Can Botox fix my hooded eyelids? (Photos)

Question

I’ve always had hooded eyelids but they have been bothering me more and more. They especially bother me while doing makeup I feel like nothing looks “right” due to the fact that I have hooded eyes. They aren’t extremely hooded causing any vision issues or anything. They just make me feel very self cautious. I’m not against surgery, but I would prefer something less extreme at this time as I am only in my twenties still.

Hello and thanks for the question.  From the photos you provided, you appear to have a full eyelid, without much skin sogginess.  I that a youthful appearance.  Surgery is definitely not warranted in your case. Botox is used to decrease or eliminate wrinkles.  A common area that can be treated are the wrinkles around the eyes, sometimes referred to as "Crow's feet".  It does not appear that you have any significant Crow's feet, though often they do not appear unless smiling.  Botox can also be used to slightly lift the eye brow to achieve a better arch.  This may be something that your are interested in. 
I recommended consulting with a surgeon who has experience with botox to discuss these issues. Hope that helps and good luck

From what i can see on the picture your eyelids look good and healthy, i would not recommend any surgery for you. Also Botox isn't a great option for eyelids....

You don't have hooding of your upper eyelids. Hooding is the result of drooping of the eyebrows and/or stretching of the upper eyelid skin. However, I appreciate what you are concerned about. I believe that your upper eyelid tissue is thick enough to make it difficult for you to get the effect you want from your eye make up. Botox or Dysport injected into the orbicularis occuli muscles will raise your eyebrows, perhaps by a millimeter or so. I don't know whether or not you would like that effect. If you try it and you don't like the effect, it will wear off in 3-4 months and you will have wasted about the $200 it cost for the Botox or Dysport.

You absolutely do not have hooded eyelids. You have eyelids and eyebrows of a young woman who needs nothing done. Using Botox may create more of an arch which I don't believe you need. Good luck from New York City

You do have totally perfect eyes I think you don't  need any Botox, but if you want to prevent of getting wrinkles ,Botox is a perfect option for prevention.

Hi tlc905First of, you beautiful eyes that are framed just right by well-shaped brows. You have nothing to be self-conscious about. You are just in your twenties and it may take about 5-10 years before you can see real droopiness. Sometimes HA skincare that looks gel-like has a temporary lifting effect.The problem with trying to correct this "droopiness" is that the placement has to be very precise and any error will accentuate the condition or cause your brow to droop.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
