Is dermawand ok to use right after Botox?

Question

I have been using detmawand for 3 weeks and it’s ok. But I had Botox on my forehead lips crows feet. Can I use dermawand. It won’t ruin the Botox? And when right away? After a week?

I would recommend waiting a 4 to 6  hours. This allows the Botox plenty of chance to reach the receptor and reduces the risks of migration. Consult with an expert injector/physician.Good luck. Dr. ALDO

There has been no experience using the Dermawand at the same time as Botox. Radiofrequency treatments are limited to the skin and won’t affect the muscles, into which the Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin are injected. However, I recommend refraining from handling your skin roughly, massaging, or doing any kinds of treatment for about a day after Botox — just to be sure the product doesn’t migrate. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who can administer your Botox expertly, answer any questions you have, and administer high-powered RF treatments, if needed.

Hi hellenium,I have nothing against dermawand but I prefer it done by a professional and maintained on a monthly basis. This way you are sure that the electrical stimulation hits the muscle and not just the skin. For some, dermawands are considered Botox's best friend, specially if the patient has been on neurotoxin for years. This stimulates the muscle and prevents atrophy. Theoretically there is fear that this stimulation will shorten the duration of effects of Botox but on the contrary, the forehead seems more lifted longer. Go easy and observe yourself closely.
