My surgeon prescript me Bactroban ointment for one week to help with crusting inside my nose that he said it is due to staph infection. but he prescript the regular ointment that is use for the skin not the nasal Bactroban ointment. is this one safe to use inside the nose? in the instructions say not to use in the nose that is could cause burning and dryness. can someone help me get a clarification on this. Thanks!

Hard to assess the size of your nose without seeing it on your face. Outside of that there is nothing about your nose that looks particularly difficult. The expectations of how small or how much hump can/should be removed is always worth discussing.
The only way to remove a hump and shorten a long nose is through rhinoplasty surgery. Gaining or losing weight will not help. Have a couple of consultations and discuss your concerns with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon!
