Snuff (chewing tobacco pouches) a day after surgery?

Hello, I had a 3 hour deviated septum open rynoplasty surgery yesterday and I was wondering if I could chew the snuff chewing tobacco pouches? Or would this damage my sinuses or something? Thanks

You should not have any sort of nicotine during the healing process, for at least 4 weeks following surgery.  This can cause a lot of healing delays.  After having a major surgery like that you want to allow you body to heal completely and properly.

Tobacco products are better avoided in the peri-operative period. Smoking could be worse but nicotine could still affect wound healing/
