I had a vampire facial done 7 days ago. My skin is super dry but I’m concerned about a break out in my face. Is a little painful and red. It has been there for 4 days and is not changing. Should I go to the doctor or wait?

Hello, congratulations on your Vampire Facial. Your face will be dry and a little flaky for up to two weeks after a microneedling procedure. This is because the dead skin is broken up and the tiny perforations will initially allow moisture to escape. The PRP applied to the surface after the microneedling (the "Vampire" part), will help the microperforations to heal faster and it will amplify the production of collagen. Breakouts are not unusual after the first treatment but this treatment will actually reduce breakouts in the long run if you keep up with the treatments.  The procedure is very safe if performed correctly. You should make sure that your provider is properly trained by confirming that they are an authorized provider of the Vampire Facial.

Post vampire facelift the face can swell and bruising can occur. Rarely local skin infection can occur.

At this stage, I think think this would not be something you need to consult your dermatologist about... Many procedures can cause minor irritation and break outs that are temporary. Watch the spot, and if it continues to worsen or if you are continually worrying about it, get it checked out in person.
