How long does it take for the nerves to grow back completely after Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty?

Dear loriIt often takes 1 year for sensation to reach a stable point post rhinoplasty. It can take longer. pain and burning inside might also be secondary to other issues, often turbinate related. is it persists, see an ent for consultation.

I would be interested to examine your nose and rule out any other causes, but for the sake of your question I will take the word of your other doctors.Speed of nerve regeneration can be variable from person to person. Most patients have healed by 6-12 months after surgery, but this process can take up to two years in extreme circumstances. Try not to become discouraged. Continue to follow-up with your surgeon as directed. Good luck! 

In my experience, most nerve issues in plastic surgery reach a stable point by 12-18 months after surgery.                                                                                                                                             

After a Rhyno and septumplasty  burnig sensation could last up to 18 months. Its good to know you saw your doctor and had a second opinion. I would say wait a few more months to see what happens.Best wishesdr hernandez Pizzoglio
