Hi. The short answer is yes but there are a range of options depending in the sverity of your problem. The simplest option is a filler but this is only for very minor problems. Surgical options include using fascia from the temple, cartilage from the septum or ear. For severe deformities a rib bone and cartilage graft may be necessary but this is not to be entertained lightly. A full exam is required but photos would also help. Regards
The simple answer is yes.If it is just a contour defect you can try filler.Cheaper and non invasive avoiding surgery.Otherwise you can elect to have surgery and have cartilage grafting to help camouflage the defect. If it a structural problem, then that is more complicated but still involves using cartilage grafts from the rib.I hope this helps and good luck.
Hi Alice,If the bone is over resected and irregular, I would consider augmenting it with a camouflage graft. Sometimes I use cartilage and sometimes I use fascia (usually from the temporalis, in the side of your head hidden in the hair). The idea of replacing the bone is good. Sometimes we do replace cartilage in the nasal tip. Bone grafts can be reabsorbed and shaping them can be difficult. It would not be my initial recommendation. I recommend you see a rhinoplasty surgeon close to you with experience in revisiongood luck!
