I was recently told that it was recently changed, and the max is 600 cc's each side, but I would need more than that. I wouldn't want to pay twice and go through recovery twice.
Answer: Is there a legal limit in California for the max amount of cc's that can be used in a BBL? For safety reasons, 5000 cc is the generally accepted upper limit for liposuction in an outpatient setting, with the transfer being less than that.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Volume of fat injected during a BBL There are no limits to the volume which can be injected during a BBL procedure. The only "limit" is the skin of the buttock and how much volume it will accommodate. There are guidelines as to how much fat can be removed in one day from a patient, which is usually around 5 liters- but this only a guideline, not a law. Consult with a few plastic surgeons in person to see if you are a good candidate for this procedure.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Is there a legal limit in California for the max amount of cc's that can be used in a BBL? Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. No, there is no limit to how much fat can be placed in the buttocks during a BBL. It's limited by 1) how much fat is available after your liposuction and 2) how much fat can physically be placed in the buttocks to achieve the result you're looking for/how much will your skin stretch and last but not least 3) what result you are looking for. I would suggest that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in this procedure and see what they recommend for you.I hope that helps! Best of Luck! Matthew J. Answer: BBL candidate Dear Hoping4busty, there is a recommended limit for liposuction but in most cases patient can get more than 600cc transferred. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Max amount of injection Great question! No there is no legal limit to the amount that can be injected into the buttock, myself and many of my colleagues often do more than the 600cc's safely, depending on the anatomy and how much the skin off the buttock can expand to accommodate the volume. However, there is a guideline on how much liposuction can be performed safely. This is usually about 5 liters, depending on the person's dimensions which is a safety issue due to fluid shits and its affect on the body.Best of luck and hope this information helps! - Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsai Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
