I have horrible knots in my left shoulder and neck and I want some relief before I have liposculpture and BBL
Answer: Short Answer - Yes! I don't see any contraindication! Even if your physician injects a steroid, it does not act systemically, so there is no effect on wound healing.

Answer: Is it okay if I have trigger point injections in muscle knots before surgery? Thank you for your question. Please discuss any treatments that you undergo with your surgeon. I do not feel there is a contraindication to the injections, but clear them with your surgeon before getting them done. All The Best !

Answer: Trigger points in shoulder Thanks for writing,In my mind the big question is why do you have these. I think you need to consider is something going on in your neck? Pinched nerve? Herniated disc? Facet syndrome? It would honestly be best to have his evaluated or a least cleared by you primary doctor. If these are isolated with no neck problems; injection, massage, specific stretches can all help. Good luck Stephen M. Answer: Point injections Most trigger point injections should be safe to get prior to surgery. For safety, it is best to let your surgeon and anesthesiologist know what kind of medication is being injected into the trigger points to make sure you are good to go for surgery. Hope this helps!
