Should I stop taking any of these medications before a BBL?

Question

I am currently on Seroquel and Ambien XR because i'm a chronic insomniac, and am also on Clonazepam for anxiety and also helps for sleep, I am also on Prozac and Wellbutrin for depression. I really need to take the medication I need to sleep. so Is it ok to continue on those but stop the rest?

It's a great question. I would speak with your surgeon about their recommendations. Any decision to discontinue medications prior to surgery should be guided by your plastic surgeon in close consultation with your primary care doctor or psychiatrist. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

Prior to your procedure you should review all of your medications as well as medical issues with your surgeon and anesthesiologist. That being said, looking over this list of medications there should not be any issues with any of them prior to surgery.

A thorough medical history is an essential component of developing an operative plan.However, that being said, none of the listed medications should interfere with your planned procedures.As always, discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
