A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.
BMI is just one measure of your fitness for surgery. Being ready for a BBL and lipo depends upon your health, your body habitus, and your goals. In my practice I look for a BMI approximating 30 to reduce the risks of complications during and after surgery and to enhance the results of the surgical procedures. Make an appointment with your PCP to discuss an exercise and weight reduction plan. It is best to be within 10 pounds of your weight goal for three months prior to the BBL.Kenneth Hughes, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thanks for your question. We never want to do anything that might jeopardize our patient's health. Unfortunately, based on the measurements your BMI is 44.4, making you ineligible for cosmetic surgery at this time. High BMI poses high surgical risk and reduces the likelihood you will receive optimal cosmetic results. Patients considering cosmetic surgery should have a BMI of 30 or less. If you have been unable to reach your goal weight with diet and exercise we recommend you schedule a consultation with a Board Certified Bariatric Surgeon. This option might be the best next step for you in terms of getting your body ready for cosmetic surgery in the future.
Thank you for your photos and question. The recommended BMI prior to an elective surgery is less than 30 for health and safety reasons. Since your current BMI is 44 I would recommend losing about 20-40lbs to reduce your rate of complications during surgery and optimize your results. A tummy tuck can be done later to treat the loose skin and tighten the abdominal muscles.Seek a board certified plastic surgeon who performs many of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.
Hi there! Thanks for the question. The answer is unfortunately ''no''. Your BMI is considered too high and to have this surgery done it should be around max 30-33.Since high BMI brings high surgical risks at this point most important thing to consider your safety.I can suggest you to see a board certified bariatric surgeon to reach your needs.Best of Luck!Prof Dr Aydin Gozu
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Unfortunately no, your BMI needs to be 33 or less, for you to be considered a good candidate for plastic surgery. The average cost varies a lot depending on the city, the clinic and the plastic surgeon. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and the best options for you.Good luck :)
Hello. Thanks for the question. Many would discourage you from having a BBL at a BMI of 44. The procedure is not a weight loss operation and your results would not meet your expectations. Patient safety is also a major consideration.
Greetings. A BMI of 44 is a high number and there is a increased risk of complications. Every surgeon has his/her thrsshold for maximum BMI level. Some surgeons may operate with a maximum BMI of 30-35. You could also ask your primary physician for some recommendations on weight loss. Best wishes.
Hello, Thank you for sharing the information, it is a pleasure for me to answer your question. It is difficult to evaluate the options without seeing photos, everything depends on your BMI, if it is within the normal range, above 35 it can generate risks.
