I realize an in-person consult is better than a photo, but input would be appreciated. Before pic is 510 cc saline implants, under the muscle. After pic is 3 month’s post op full anchor lift with 300 cc saline implants. My breasts look uneven to me and one is sagging more than the other, scars and areolas are also uneven. My doc knew I wanted high, tight, and nipples centered. I’m very disappointed with my results. Do I need more tissue removed from the left? Another lift?
Answer: Revision Augmentation Mastopexy Hello,Yes, although it is not terrible, you have a lot of room for improvement. There is asymmetry in size and shape of the breasts, one larger and wider. There is also asymmetry in nipple placement, with both being lower than what would be considered optimal. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in revision breast surgery. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast lift results Dear ToddlerMom1972, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lif surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: Do I need another lift? Your concerns are understandable. Although it is still too early to evaluate the long-term outcome of the procedure performed, it is likely that you will be left with a moderate degree of asymmetry longer term. revision or breast surgery may be necessary if you continue to have the same cnocerns long-term. Maneuvers that may be indicated: revision of the breast lift on one or both sides, scar revision surgery, adjustment of breast implant capsules and/or adjustment of breast implant volumes. My general thoughts regarding the potential need or benefits of revisionary breast surgery: I advise patients to carefully consider their degree of concern with the outcome of the initial breast surgery and weigh these concerns against the potential risks/complications associated with the planned revisionary breast surgery. For example, if the patient is concerned about her breast appearance on a daily or frequent basis, it is likely that revisionary surgery will be helpful when it comes to improving her quality of life. On the other hand, if the patient's degree of concern seems minor and/or she is infrequently concerned about the areas of concern, I would recommend against revisionary breast surgery. Best wishes.

Answer: Revision breast lift Cases like yours are why I use mesh. You wanted smaller higher breasts and not to have to wear a bra. You now have smaller, still droopy breasts. Galaflex or other mesh used in a revision should help you accomplish your goals. The skin alone cant support the implants. The Galaflex acts as an internal bra and keeps the breasts supported. We are posting some of these cases on IG under sanctuaryplasticsurgery if interested

Answer: Do I need another lift? Thanks for writing,The first thing I would suggest to you is, the breasts are sisters not twins. You can see this in your pre-op photo. The 510cc implants weigh over a pound each and that weight is constantly pulling and stretching you skin and breasts because gravity works 24 hours per day. With the new smaller implants and a lift some of the weak skin is removed but not all of it, as a result you skin may and has re-stretched. It appears your surgeon did a very nice job. You might want to let the skin and breasts stretch as much as they are going to and then a revision may be necessary, this will remove more of the damaged skin. Over all I think the improvement it very nice and over the long term you will do well. Be patient, follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon’s post-op instructions carefully and completely.Stephen M.
