Hi LV,I once asked three beautiful women, "What is Beauty?" The first answered, "It's a feeling in your heart.", the second answered, "You know it when you see it.", the third said, "Beauty is maintenance!!!" Once a patient has had their twice a week for two weeks treatment with Emsculpt, the "beauty" and effectiveness of their results will depend on maintenance. There has not been a studied maintenance protocol as the safe and effective technology is brand new. In my practice Emsculpt treatments are individualized. As a baseline I recommend a maintenance single treatment anywhere from 3 to 12 months after the initial treatment. Since the benefits of Emsculpt treatments are the equivalent of doing 20,000 crunches or squats in only 30 minutes, some patients will continue their "workout" maintenance treatment every month. As with any aesthetic procedure please be sure to choose your treating physician carefully based on their skill, knowledge, experience, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Stay Vegas Strong!!! Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Thank you for your question. There is no set number of treatments recommended for maintenance following the initial Emsculpt treatment of four 30 minute sessions. Many providers are suggesting one or two additional treatment a year for maintenance, but this is optional. If you work out, you will be able to maintain your result longer than if you don't. Keep in mind that four 30 minute treatments for the abs is the same as doing 200 sit-ups or crunches a day for an entire year. Now, that's a workout! Good luck.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Maintenance will depend on what you want to achieve. We currently offer plans with 1 treatment a month and 1 treatment a quarter. Your lifestyle will also play a roll in how long you wait between treatments. Please discuss with your provider to find the best treatment plan for your goals. Good luck!
EMSculpt is the first aesthetic device to ever target muscle. It will strengthen and tone the muscle while at the same time reducing the overly fat by about 18%. We assume that patients will need maintenance treatments since muscle that has been treated tends to go back to baseline over time. There have been no studies that have determined the ideal maintenance timing. At Quintessa, we have decided to recommend one treatment every three months to maintain the result. We should know within about six months if that maintenance regimen is adequate.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa Aesthetic Centers
The initial treatment with Emsculpt requires two treatments a week, for 2 weeks (4 in total ). Studies have shown that these results can last up to six months, however maintenance treatments will depend on the patient’s lifestyle. Results can be maintained longer with consistent exercise and proper diet. Some patients will do maintenance treatments once per month, or once every 4-6 months, depending on his or her personal aesthetic and strength preference. Please consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation.
Hi. Thanks for your question. We recommend one of three options: 1) Once a month treatment to maintain and boost result; 2) Once a quarter treatments; 3) Two treatments every 6-12 months. What you choose will depend on your particular situation and what you hope to achieve. It also depends on what you will be doing between treatments to maintain your results. There is really no right or wrong maintenance schedule. Best wishes!
For treatments with Emsculpt, initially we recommend treatments one week apart for approximately a month and after that we recommend an active lifestyle. But tomaintain the results of the emsculpt, it could be anywhere between 4 to 6 months to help maintain the hypertrophy of the muscles of both the abdomen and the buttock area.
Thank you for your question. In our office, we are recommending a maintenance treatment at 3 to 6 months following the initial series. We find that patients want to go on maintenance because they love their results and desire to maintain them.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Thank you for your question. After you complete the series of 4 treatments, I recommend coming in for maintenance treatment at least once a year. There are no set number of treatments recommended. Please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Studies have shown that treatment results are maintained at 6 months, however, it will be different for each patient depending on their lifestyle and diet after the treatment. Patients are recommended to come in for a follow up and the doctor will be able to assess how many maintenance treatments a patient may need. The treatments are similar to working out. If a patient does not engage in physical exercise, the muscles built up will slowly deteriorate and fat cells may regenerate. Please seek a Board Certified Dermatologist to see how many follow up treatments you will need after the treatment.
Hi! Since I started treating patients with Emsculpt several months ago (10/2019) we have not had a patient regret the investment. We’re getting great results in our practice. It works well for toning and lifting.
Hi, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, a metal implant is a contraindication to the Emsculpt device. Therefore, you would not be an ideal candidate for the treatment. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if there are other options for you.
Thank you for a great question. There is absolutely no downtime and no need to avoid gym prior, during or after your EmSculpt sessions. Many of our patient workout prior to their treatment and some even feel an extra energy boost after their session that they want to go to the gym...
