Thank you for your question. Botox benefits people with many different skin types. You should be able to receive Botox treatments despite your sensitive skin. I would recommend consulting with a dermatologist or an experienced physician first to determine if Botox is the best option for you.
You may have some reaction from the injection site. Done swelling, redness even bruising, all of which will go away rapidly.
Thank you for your question. Absolutely, you may have Botox :-)It will help to provide you with a more refreshed and relaxed countenance with lifting the heaviness of the brows and placing them in a happy position. It will also help prevent the marionette lines that go downwards from the corners of the mouth, and it will slightly lift them. With regards to the skin, there are a few good medically effective and scientifically proven creams on the market that can increase the youthfulness and uniformity of your skin within a few weeks. My top favorite by far, on the market today is Defenage. My next two favorites are Sente and Environ. It is important that you be evaluated by a Board Certified Facial Plastic / Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist who is well versed and experienced in Botox and also the various medical creams on the market to advise you appropriately. Botox works on muscles. As such the sensitivity of your skin would have no bearing on the injection or ultimate results . Of course you should consult with a qualified provider .
Botox is injected into the muscle, not on the skin surface. There is a good chance that you will not have issues from treatment. It is performed quickly in an office setting and the effects will last 3-4 months. See an expert injector in your area to learn more.
Many of my patients have sensitive skin and have Botox all of the time without any interaction. Botox is injected beneath the skin and has no reaction on the surface of your skin to make sensitive skin worse. Best, Dr. Green
if your skin is very sensitive, you could have some swelling or redness initially. You could ask your provider to start with a very small amount in a test area to see how your skin reacts. But having said that, you look like a good candidate for Botox and looks like you would benefit especially to soften the lines between your eyebrows. Good luck!
Sensitive skin or not, you will still benefit from using Botox has it will make your face look less stressed. Good luck from New York City
not likely you would have a problem and i suspect (from your pix) you would likely see some nice improvement from injectables and perhaps some other non-invasive modalities as well. be sure you tell your doctor about the sensitive skin issue so they err on the side of slow, gentle and gradual and good luck. i bet you will be very pleased!
Hi bent logronio,Your doctor can determine if your skin is sensitive to any Botox component. Barring any sensitivity, you can still expect bruising or slight swelling. These are very temporary and should be gone in a few days.Botox will make a dramatic difference in your looks and I strongly encourage you to go for it.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
