I recently found out I have a lipoma on my lower right back. Apparently it's hitting a nerve so there's pain going up my back and down my leg. The urgent care doctor prescribed methylprednisolone. It's been almost two weeks since I was diagnosed with my lipoma. My lower back still hurts and my right leg feels different. I'm impatient so I was wondering if it's alright to start running again. Also should I be worried that it still hurts to sit down?

Lipomas are benign tumors consisting of fatty tissue. No pill will get rid of them. The treatment is surgical. Depending on their size and consistency, even large lipomas can be removed through small excisions leaving small scars. Removal of lipomas is a common dermatological procedure.
Lipomas are benign fatty tumors that occur under the skin and less commonly within the muscle. They are associated with mild discomfort and a lump underneath the skin. It is always best to talk to an expert plastic surgeon to determine whether the lipoma is possibly a cyst or a tumor or hernia....
