Thanks for your inquiry Pictures would be helpful to advise. Unfortunately weight gain/loss can have unpredictable effects on breast volume. Furthermore, acquired breast ptosis or drooping in the breast does not reverse with simply adding volume. Please have an in person consultation to further discuss and continued happiness and best of luck in your life.
It’s difficult to predict how your breasts will be affected by weight gain, however there may be a good chance that your breasts increase in size. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that your breasts will return to their previous size. They may be smaller (or even larger). In addition, dramatic weight fluctuations can accelerate the rate of sagging, so your breasts may not be a perky as before.
There are 2 components to the breasts: breast parenchyma and breast fat. The anorexia will have an adverse effect on the breast fat content. Gaining weight may or may not increase the breast fat in the breasts. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Celebrated923523,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Major weight loss can cause saggy breasts and weight regain will probably restore some of the volume. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
If you are a true E cup, then you still have plenty of breast tissue. You might do well with a lift or even a reduction. Going smaller will reduce the chance of sagging from the weight and be easier on your neck and shoulders.
Weight gain may or may not increase the size of your breasts. However if they are sagging now, it is likely a lift will be needed. Even if they do become fuller with weight gain, the ptosis will generally not be corrected.
When you lose weight and the breasts deflate, new weight gain may or may not go back to the breasts. If the breasts are droopy post weight reduction, the droopiness does not resolve with weight gain alone. Gain the weight to where you feel comfortable with your body, then assess and see a board certified plastic surgeon if desired. Best wishes Dr. Taranow
While some surgeons prefer local anesthesia for smaller or less invasive procedures, a breast lift, especially if combined with other body contouring surgeries, is generally performed under general anesthesia to ensure your comfort and safety. It is completely valid to request general...
Good afternoon, Saline overfilled implants do provide more upper pole fullness compared to silicone. I perform over 250 XL augmentations a year, more than any other surgeon in the U.S., and if you go big without a lift you will not be happy- gravity will ensure that you wind up with very large...
The nipple is not actually cut off the breast for a lift, but stays attached to the breast. Skin is opened around the nipple so the breast mound can be repositioned. I hope this helps.
