Will a cortisone shot affect my results of ultherapy?

I had a cortisone shot in my health for pain a month prior to ultherapy treatment. I am supposed to get another shot soon and I am 1 month post ultherapy now. Will it harm the effects of my ultherapy and collegen production if I get the second cortisone shot soon or should I wait?

Thank you for your question.  I do believe that chronic immunosuppression can compromise Ulthera's effectiveness by muting your body's collagen generating response.  A very short course should be fine, especially if it is a one time treatment.

I'm not sure where the cortisone was injected, but I am assuming pretty far away from your face and in a joint. While there are some anti-inflammatory effects of cortisone, it is very unlikely to affect your face/neck from Ultherapy. Afterall, we often use NSAIDs like ibuprofen during Ultherapy for pain control.
