Thank you for your question! For my patients having a BBL procedure, I recommend they wear the compression garment that we provide for the first 3 weeks post surgery, 24/7, then an additional 3 weeks at night only. I recommend discussing specific post op instructions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. It's best to follow your surgeons specific advice post-operatively. I have my liposuction patients wear a compression garment (faja) covering all treated 24/7 except to shower for 4 weeks post op. This helps ontrol swelling as the compression on your tissues helps your body to reabsorb the edema fluid that accumulates in the tissues after any procedure. This can take quite some time to happen without help from the compression garments. It also helps improve contour. Compression helps to keep the tissues adherent to the underlying structures while healing, this can help prevent the wrinkled skin appearance that can happen when the tissues heal in ways we don't want them to.
Hello ademile, It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Plastic surgeons have different post-operative protocols customized for every patient to achieve optimal results. I usually recommend my patients wearing specialized compression garments around the clock, starting immediately after surgery, during approximately six months, to reduce swelling and help their skin contract smoothly to their new body’s contours. Since ill-fitting garments can lead to contour irregularities, I advise my patients about the correct method of using them, to limit folds and creases in the garments, and regularly check if they are worn properly. Since every case is different, consult with your plastic surgeon about your specific needs and concerns. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
The type of compression garment and the length of wear is plastic surgeon dependent. Follow your plastic surgeon's post-operative guidelines as he/she knows the extent of your surgery and how well you are healing.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

This is a very good question to discuss with your surgeon since time varies from surgeon to surgeon, time can also vary according to what type of faja you will use. Generally in my patients I recommend to wear a faja for 1.5 - 2 months after surgery, I also recommend lymphatic drainage massages (10-20 sessions) and no special devices for sitting even after buttocks fat lipoinjection, only recommendation, that for the first days after your surgery when sitting down try to put as much of your weight as you can on the back of your things and not on your buttocks.

Hello,Thank you for sharing the information, it is a pleasure for me to answer your question.Following the recommendations of your surgeon is very important. The recovery takes about 3 weeks, and you can continue your normal activities, perform light exercises, then increase the routine without any problem. It is recommended to use the compression belt for a period of three months after the operation. In fact, if you stop using it during the first 15 days of the postoperative period, with a rest of two hours a day, inflammations may occur that affect the intervened area and cause alterations in the desired silhouette.I hope this answer will help youMy best wishes for you...

Hi. It's great that you are walking around and going outside. You can continue to do so because mosquito bites will not affect your BBL. Just make sure to wear some mosquito repellent next time and you will be ok!Best of luck on your recovery!Dr. Miguel Mota
