I’m having a BBL on June 25th and leave on a cruise Aug 4th this will be 6weeks out. Will I be able to sunbathe?
Answer: Traveling After a BBL When my patients come in for a BBL, I always advise them to allot at least six weeks for recovery time before making any big plans. After a BBL, people are unable to sit without a BBL pillow for up to six weeks. I also advise to forgo any strenuous activities and exercises, prolonged periods of sitting even with a BBL pillow (like for a long car ride or flight), and being submerged in water for extended periods of time until they've hit their six week mark. After six weeks, most patients are happy and healed enough to partake in all of the fun activities they've been missing out on.Not every surgeon has the same recommendations, so as always, it is best to discuss any concerns with your surgeon. Best wishes!

Answer: Vacation cruise 6 weeks after BBL surgery? Best to ask the plastic surgeon who performs your BBL as he or she will have knowledge of your recovery and healing. If you are a poor scar former, wait until the liposuction scars are completely faded before tanning after a BBL. If you will be just sitting and relaxing on the beach or by the pool, you might be OK. Be cautious that you do not overdo sunbathing or allow your incisions to come in contact with ocean or pool water. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Sunbathe post BBL Thanks for your question. Please follow up and consult and with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and questions that you have regarding your BBL. Your surgeon should be able to give you better advice since she/he is following up with your healing progress. Best of luck!

Answer: Vacations after BBL After 6 weeks from your BBL you'll feel great and also will like to do your normal activities including going on vacations. However, exposure of your scars directly sun may change the color of the scar and will be a lot more visible. I will recommend not to do that. You should contact your PS.
