Hi there, I agree with Dr. Lerch's previous comment in that rotating teeth can be done, but depends upon the degree and room available. I wanted to add that rotating canines and molars can be extremely difficult to do because they are such strong teeth. What do I mean by strong? I mean that canines have very very long roots that extend into your jaw bone. These powerful roots make canines more difficult to turn or rotate. Additionally, molars are even harder to rotate because they have the most roots of any teeth in your mouth. So, to be clear, you can rotate canines, but it is much harder to do with Invisalign than with metal braces. A less conservative approach would be to move all your other teeth with Invisalign, then crown the tooth that did not turn. I have done this for patients that simply just did not want to do metal braces, but wanted a permanent fix to their previously poorly aligned teeth.
